The botanic gardens of Trauttmansdorff are one of the highlights of Merano. A harmonic ensemble of lush vegetation, magic viewpoints, a wide range of colours, mediterranean climate and surrounding mountain landscape, that’s what makes the gardens a unique experience.

The botanic gardens have been declared “one of the most beautiful botanic gardens of Italy” (2005) and are also considered to be one of the most amazing gardens all over Europe. Furthermore, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle received the “International Garden of the Year Award” at the “Garden Tourism Conference 2013″ in Toronto, Canada.
