Merano 2000

Lots of sun, snow and winter fun at 1670-2300 m

High above the city of Merano towers the sunny ski area Merano 2000, featuring a total of 8 ski lifts and 40 km of ski runs and slopes.

Here you find something for everyone. There is for instance a 3.8 km long toboggan run, where you can go for hilarious night-time rides on Fridays. Skiers and snowboarders can look forward to carefully-groomed ski runs, ideally-suited to beginners and professionals alike. While kids and greenhorns may take advantage of the lower-altitude runs, the more experienced ones might head for the rather challenging ones at higher altitudes. A 5 km long cross-country run is found near to the base station and those interested in ski touring can look forward to a breath-taking panoramic view.

A total of 7 huts and inns are spread all over the ski area. A special highlight is the weekly torch-lit descent of the ski instructors and the weekly night-time skiing. Not to forget Italy's longest mountain roller coaster.
