Every year when the days are getting shorter and the nights longer, the city of Merano prepares for a special kind of market. It is time for Merano's Christmas market, with its charming wooden houses and numerous little treasures.

Home-made presents and traditional handicraft are of special importance at the Merano Christmas market. And if this year you want to surprise your loved ones with a kind of present, this is the place for you. Here one the Cure Promenade you will the most different presents, from home-made Christmas cookies and self-carved figures to lovely felt slippers and woollen socks. Among the pretty stands and houses, there are even some selling home-made coarse rye bred and Medieval dishes!

And while the adults have lots to admire, the little ones can watch hilarious puppet theatres and embark on a trip with beloved Christmas train...
