A picturesque medieval town with a southern charm and a glorious history - this is the spa town of Merano. From a geographic point of view, Merano nestles in the basin of even three colourful valleys: Val Passiria, Val Venosta and Val d'Adige. Thanks to its sheltered position at the bottom of mighty mountains, the town boasts a very gentle, southern climate.

Already in the 19th century the town was awarded a "climatic health resort" and still today such great pampering treatments as vinotherapy or apple-scented steam baths attract numerous visitors.

But the city of Merano has to offer much more.
