Merano Music Weeks 2010

The Merano Music Weeks are one of the most significant classical music festivals all over Europe. Various concert series are scheduled for the festival 2010.

The Merano Music Weeks were brought into being on 1986 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Kurhaus, symbol construction of the city of Merano. Since its foundation it was aimed at presenting high-quality music, in the course of time it has become one of the main classical music festivals of Europe and is an attraction for lovers of classical music from all over the world. Also this year world-famous orchestras and chamber ensembles are going to participate and give concerts in the course of the festival.

The concert series are called “classic“, “matinée classique“, “colours of music“ and “soirees“. The festival is inaugurated by the „cleaveland orchestra - Franz Welse-Möst“ on Tuesday, August 24, in the Kurhaus at 8.30 pm. The festival lasts until September 27, 2010.
