Ice Music Festival 2010 at the Val Senales glacier

This year it is already the fourth edition of the Ice Music Festival taking place at the glacier in Val Senales. From February 26 to March 7, 2010 there will again be concerts in the ice dome, a huge igloo made of ice equipped with a huge cuppla, providing extraordinary acoustics for these concerts. Also the phenomenal architecture style is worth to be mentioned.

Special ice horns, an ice phone and a percussion instrument have enthusiastic spectators in the recent years. And the highlight of this year is an ice harp constructed by Sedsel Walstad, a Norvegian harp builder, which will also play this instrument. When the ice music festival has come to an end, the ice dome is going to be transformed into a venue for Sunday cill-outs. The ice dome is accessible from the mountain station Grawand, with skis or also on foot.
