An extraordinary natural piece of art is found in Cermes, a little village near to Lana and Merano. A piece of art that is continually growing and changing and from month to month comes in new shapes and forms. This is the labyrinth of the Kränzel winery, a marvellous manor with huge vineyards and fields on an area of 4.5 hectares. 1.7 hectares of them are used for an enchanting labyrinth.
The labyrinth is dedicated to a special aim. It wants to prove that everybody can live in harmony with nature and contemporaneously show how creative even small enterprises might be. Among the target groups are obviously all nature lovers, those interested in culture and arts, wine enthusiasts, not to forget families and children, looking for an intellectual way of relaxation and inner harmony. If you are interested in spirituality you might want to discover and interpret the garden's astral principles.
The first orchards were planted in autumn 2003. In spring the labyrinth by Gernot Candolini was created, the first vines were planted and the garden came to live. Step by step the whole vineyard got a new image, with all its facilities: the theatre, the terraces, the lovely pond and all the other elements that make up this park, including the manor, a farm and the people living and working there.
Have a good time and respect both nature and yourself!
