Passo dello Stelvio National Park
This national park is the largest throughout Italy and boasts four information centres.
The Stelvio National Park is found in the west of South Tyrol and with 135,000 hectares it actually is the largest protected area all over Italy. It covers the entire Ortles-Cevedale massif and borders the Swiss National Park in the north and the Adamello Nature Park in the south. Stretching from 650 to 3,900 metres above sea level, the nature park includes mountains and glaciers, rivers and valleys alike. A rich number of rare animals and plants are found here. The hamlets and villages of the valleys fit harmoniously into this special natural scenery. Qualified guides will introduce you to the Stelvio Nature Park.
Moreover, there are four information centres in different places, where you can learn all about the local flora and fauna. Worth seeing!
