The ancient Kaser hut in the Hochtal called Pfistrad, hosts one of the few alp museums ever. In a vivid way and located in one of the oldest wooden constructions of South Tyrol, visitors can experience life on the alpine pastures, now and then. In a very authentic way, at an altitude of 1.350 m asl, you are informed about alpine farming and living in Middle Ages.
In order to reach Malga Pfistrad you need to walk for one and a half hours, which perfectly suits the exhibition in the refuge. In summer the alpine pasture is farmed.
