ArcheoParc Schnalstal 2012

ArcheoParc Val Senales

The ArcheoParc, located in Madonna di Senales, takes you back in time into the age of Ötzi.

Would you make a journey in time back to the time in which Ötzi the Iceman lived? If so, come to the first interactive archeologic museum in South Tyrol, which is the ArcheoParc in Val Senales. Only 30 km from the place of discovery of Ötzi the Iceman, you can find the archeologic museum Archeoparc, which includes an area of 4,000 sqm. This museum is completely dedicated to the age in which the Iceman lived and this period of time is commented and illustrated from a scientific-theoretic point of view as well as from a practical point of view.

Moreover there is a varied interactive programme that is offered to all visitors. Take part in various activities and discover what live in the stone age was like. Barley, emmer as well as flax, poppy and lens grow in the gardens of the museum and also represent the basis for the varied interactive programme of the museum. Cook like in Stone Age, tinge wood, bake bread, do pottery, shoot with bow and arrows and make a fire - an adventurous museum visit is guaranteed!
