Prantago
Prantago offers a challenging 18-hole golf course as well as an alpine pasture that is important from a historical viewpoint.
Prantago is located at 987 m asl and nestles in the east of the main village of San Martino in Passiria. It can be reached via a mountain road, called Prantacherstrasse, as well as via several hiking trails. There is actually no real centre, the farmsteads are in fact spread on the Prantago mountain. Prantago borders on San Martino as well as on the localities of Mora, San Leonardo and Fartleis.
The village of 150 souls offers a challenging 18-hole golf course, where you can enjoy playing golf almost the whole year round and providing lasting golf experiences. A very popular excursion destination is the Pfandler Alm pasture, who owes its fame to the Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer, who had hidden in this place before he was captured. Starting at the Prantacherhof farm, this alpine pasture can be reached in a walk of about one hour.
