Tesimo

Tesimo is the centre of the municipality and attracts its visitors due the special atmosphere it conveys.

The village of Tesimo is located at 630 m asl and represents the heart of the homonymous locality. Together with Prissiano, Tesimo is often referred to as the village of castles, as it is particularly rich in historic mansions. Also does it host important facilities such as the town-hall, the parish and the tourist office.

The Assunta parish church, originally constructed in Romanesque construction style, was converted to the Gothic style in the 16th century. Also worth visiting is the S. Cristoforo church dating to the 13th century.

Only a stone’s throw from the church the International Felt Trail (Internationaler Filzkunstweg) takes its course, also ideal for making a pleasant promenade is the adventure trail Erlebnisweg. Other excursion destinations are the Bagni di Foiana or the S. Ippolito church, completing the offer regarding promenades. To those, however, who prefer taking a sun-bath, we recommend a visit to the swimming pool of Tesimo.
